I keep receiving this error whenever I download a new patch and it is now happening on my wife's computer. It happens randomly throughout the download I recently came back to the game I had to try a bunch of times before it finally worked on my system. Now my wife is trying to get into game and the same thing is happening on her computer.
- I have tried completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling
- Ran .exe as administrator
- Using wireless and wired connection
I may just copy the files I need from my computer to hers but would like to get a fix going, do not want this to happen again if/when a new patch is released.

Having trouble with an 'unable to download patch files [30413] [20495]' error, any ideas?

When the torrent download is finished you need to Copy/Paste the file you downloaded with utorrent, into the same spot that FFXIV was downloading the original file (with the FFXIV Patcher): Usually in the file path below * C: Users NAME Documents My Games FINAL FANTASY XIV downloads ffxiv 48eca647 metainfo. How To Patch Files
I've been getting the error 'unable to download patch files [30413] [20495]' while trying to update the game, at around 570 MB downloaded. I've done just about everything I've seen online or can think of to resolve it, including messing around with compatibility settings, disabling firewall/antivirus, flushing DNS, disabling startup programs, and nothing seems to work.
I've reinstalled the game several times - each time, the game itself downloads and installs fine, but it stops with the mentioned error at ffxiv - 2013.11.26.0000.0002, and subsequent attempts stop at 570MB on that same file.
I contacted Square Enix's tech support, and they told me to contact my ISP, who said there shouldn't be any problem, and verified that my connection is good. Anyone dealt with this error before, or have any idea how to solve it? My search online hasn't found much.
Other relevant info: I'm using Windows 8.1, and on a wired connection. Everything else, including other MMOs, works fine.
